CHRISTIAN CENTER
and COMMUNITY FARM
“Neither of us had ever heard of Camargo before this. Guillermo, born and raised in Mexico City, would have opted to serve there. I would have chosen the fertile green state of Morelos, where I had spent so much of my immersion training. But God had a different plan! He plucked us from the desert of Arizona to plant us in the desert of Chihuahua."
ABOUT US
Guillermo and Christine Garcia are missionaries, sent to Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico in 2006 to establish Bajo Sus Alas Ministries, a non-denominational Bible training institute and support network promoting unity among local pastors.
By an incredible series of open doors and divine contacts, an informal invitation to preach in Camargo led to a call to “leave it all” and step out in faith. Nine months later they had bought and remodeled the present ministry location, sold their home, and Guillermo quit his construction job – years before retirement. Braving the red tape of an international move, they packed a one-way moving van and headed for Mexico.
Shortly after beginning the work, God surprised them by extending the ministry to music and ministry training for teens. In short succession, they established the church, a bookstore (the only one in town), and most recently, the community farm outreach mission.
Bajo Sus Alas Ministries is an affiliate of Love International Ministries in Phoenix, Arizona, a large bilingual congregation, where Christine served for eleven years as interpreter to Pastor Juan Ramos, as well as teaching and writing curriculum for new converts. Sister Garcia attended Phoenix Bible College and Seminary, where she received her doctorate degree in Theology.
The couple’s two grown daughters live in California, and their son in Arizona.
Bajo Sus Alas Ministries is an Arizona non-profit corporation founded in April, 2005. All donations are tax-deductible.
